Brass Flower Cluster

$340.00 / Sold Out

This Brass Flower Cluster is made by ACV studio, by hand, from solid brass.

It is about 90mm in diameter and holds larger stemmed flowers such as Protea or Lily Flowers, or small clusters of finer stemmed flowers. The piece sits in a dish or bowl and water is added as necessary to nourish the flowers held upright by the brass object. It is not an original design, but rather a handmade adaptation of an old fashioned idea that enables most vessels to hold flowers.

The brass is left untreated so that the warm browns that come from being in contact with water leave a beautiful patination on its surface. Nuances of the making process are evident on the surface of the piece.

ACV studio is a project by Anna Varendorff hand-making limited edition objects.

Goods will be shipped within 10 business day from purchase unless otherwise communicated, and this piece is made to order.

Please choose carefully, as goods can not be returned unless faulty.

Cleaning:

This vessel can be cleaned with brass cleaning products, but we recommend cleaning with tomato sauce and an abrasive kitchen scourer, washing with mild soap afterwards and drying immediately. This is the least toxic cleaner for brass we know of.
